Teaching
Staff :
The
number of teachers varies from 15 to 20. Most of them live in the region of MY.
Students
:
Most
of the students are from MY and the villages nearby: Zakrit, Kornet El Hamra,
Deek El Mehdi- El Freykeh…
There
is about 80 students because the building can’t receive more. Nevertheless,
the Municipality of MY is striving to build a new and modern building for both
of the Intermediate and the High School.
As
to the results of the Official Exams, they are excellent ever since the lessons
were given in the morning. Every year the administration receives a praise from
the High School Teaching Department and the Ministry of Education.
One of its student, Yolla Ahmed (born in Bickfaya in 1984), reached the second rank in Lebanon by
passing in 2001 the examination of High School Diploma - Literature and
Humanities Section.
She was an outstanding student in the
public High school of Mazraat Yachouh.
The Hariri Institution awarded her
with a grant to study and specialize in journalism.
The National Board of Public
Schools, (Saida- 23, September,23 2001), had congratulated both of the
Administrative board and the Teaching Staff of the Public High school of Mazraat
Yachouh – Mount-Lebanon - for every possibility they made available for their
students to excel in the public examination diploma during the scholastic year
2000 - 2001.

The
director of the MY Official H-S certifies that the student Najib Mouawad
participated in the competition “Riad Solh, a Man in a Country, a Country in a
Man” and won the first prize.
The
“Riad Solh Foundation” whose president is Riad ElAssaad organized the
competition on March 13, 2004 at Champvilles College. It was intended for all
the colleges of Mount-Lebanon.
Another
competition intended for all the schools and colleges of all the districts of
Lebanon took place and he was again the winner.
He
received his 12-million-lebanese pound prize in a celebration held in the UNESCO
Palace on May 25, 2004.
