     A- Situation :

 

 

 

Mazraat-Yachouh (MY) is a village in North Metn – Mount Lebanon, It is situated at about 15 km away from Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. It is 350- 500 m. above sea level.

The Major Zones & Streets of Mazraat Yachouh :

-  The Indusrial Zone - Ain El Mir

-  Elyssar

-  Harik

-  Midan

-  Saint Joseph Street (The Street of The Municipality)

-  Saint Maroun Street

-  Khalil Roukoz Street (El Mahatta)

-  El Joura

Area : 172 hectares.

Eight villages bound MY:

-  Zakrit to the North.

-  Beit El Kikko & Kornet Chehwan to the South.

-  Beit El Kikko & Kornet El Hamra to the East.

-  Dick El Mehdi, Tamish & Beit El Chaar to the West.

 

When standing on a hill of MY, you can see to the North,
Nahr El Kelb (the Dog River), a river that flows in a deep valley and forms a natural boundary of two districts; El Metn and Keserwan.

You can also gaze to the West at the Mediterranean Sea where stands nearby a statue of Jesus the King, and, to the East, at the Mount of Sannine, all covered with snow.

Climate : moderate during all seasons.
